These terms apply to your use of the humcase.com website and of the Humcase software. By using them, you accept these terms.
The software
Humcase is free and open source software. Its use, copying, modification and distribution are governed by the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0, which prevails over these terms for the software.
Humcase is offered free of charge. Preview versions may contain bugs and change without notice: keep backups of your data (Humcase can create backup archives).
Your data
Your data stays on your computer and remains yours. You are responsible for its backup and for the content you create.
Third-party services
The optional AI and dictation features use providers you choose, with your own API key. Their terms, prices and data practices apply between you and them. The agents you connect to Humcase act under your control.
The website
Access to the site is free. We may change, suspend or stop it at any time, and we do not guarantee that it is always available or free of errors.
You agree not to disrupt the site, attempt to access it in an unauthorized way, or use it for unlawful purposes.
Intellectual property
The Humcase name and logo are not covered by the open source license. You may refer to Humcase by name, but not use its name or logo in a way that suggests our endorsement without written permission.
Warranty and liability
The software is provided “as is”, without warranty, as stated in its license. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damage, such as loss of data or of business, arising from the use of the site or the software.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, please write to contact@humcase.com first so we can look for a solution together. Otherwise, the competent courts are those determined by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
